Students will investigate the planet Earth and the regions of space beyond it. We will learn to use the tools and methods used by Earth scientists. Of course, it is not easy to study something as large as the Earth or as far away as Venus. Yet, that is exactly what Earth scientists do. From Nicolaus Steno, who accurately described the process by which living organisms become fossils, to the launching of the Space Telescope Hubble, we will explore the primary discoveries that impact our mother Earth today.
