Life science is the study of living things - from the tiniest bacterium to the largest tree! This year, students will discover similarities, differences and aspects of life that have not been studied in prior science classes. Tools that life scientists use will be learned and the process of problem-solving, by asking good questions about the living world, will be of prime focus.
Biologists have always searched for answers about life. From Si Ling-Chi, Empress of China, who observed silkworms in her garden to Professor Albert Einstein, who developed the various theories of relativity, we will see how progress was made that impacted our society in significant ways. Do we have all the answers? Of course not! What an opportunity for students who wish to seek discovering the unknown and prove a hypothesis for others to pursue.
